Candy AI South Africa processes information needed to provide accounts, personal companion experiences, customer support, safety controls and reliable service operation.
2. Information we may receive
When you visit, hosting and security systems may process technical information such as IP address, approximate location, browser type, device type, requested pages, timestamps and security events. If you email us, we receive your email address, message and attachments you choose to send.
3. Why we use information
We use limited data to deliver pages, prevent abuse, diagnose errors, understand aggregate site performance, answer messages, handle corrections and privacy requests, and comply with legal obligations. We do not need sensitive personal information for these purposes; please do not send it.
4. Cookies and analytics
The current website is designed to function without advertising cookies or a user account. Essential hosting or security technologies may still be used. If analytics or advertising tools are added later, this policy and any required consent controls will be updated before their use.
5. Sharing and international processing
Technical data may be processed by infrastructure providers that host and protect the website. Email is processed by the provider used for our mailbox. Providers may process data outside South Africa under their contractual and legal safeguards. We do not sell personal information.
6. Retention and security
Security logs are kept only as long as reasonably needed for protection and troubleshooting. Contact messages are kept while a request is active and for a limited period afterwards for continuity and legal records. No online system is risk free, so send only what is necessary.
7. Your choices and rights
Subject to applicable law, you may ask whether we hold personal information about you, request access or correction, object to certain processing, ask for deletion where appropriate, or complain to South Africa’s Information Regulator. We may need enough information to verify and locate the relevant record.
8. External links and children
External sites control their own data practices. This website is intended only for adults aged 18 or older and is not directed to children. If you believe a minor has sent us personal information, contact us so we can investigate and delete it where appropriate.
